Spare Bags = Dry Boots

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to attend the Aviation camporee which was held in Buffalo, MN. Upon arrival it was raining a good bit and the area where we were supposed to camp was very wet with deep puddles between the road and the camp area.

While we set up quickly and kept all of our gear dry, everyone was faced with very wet shoes / boots. The next morning, all of us placed plastic shopping bags in our boots before putting on warm dry socks. All day we were being approached by people wondering why we had target bags in our shoes and once they found out they were jealous as they were walking around with wet feet while we were warm and dry. They worked out perfectly.

So... before your next campout be sure to put in 4 plastic grocery bags into your travel gear so that you are prepared the next time it rains.
